Peruvian Criollo Cacao (Theobroma cacao L, creole variety)
This dark brown powder (milled from the cacao nibs) smells like rich bitter chocolate and is full of powerful antioxidants. Cacao Powder contains over 300 important compounds, including protein B-vitamins and minerals such as calcium, sulphur, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, zinc and copper. This dense nutrient profile, coupled with its incredible antioxidant concentrations, has long elevated cacao to 'superfood' status.
Cacao powder can be used on its own or with the paste to make cacao drinks and as an ingredient for raw cacao recipes.

Minimum possible processing is used with this bean, applying low fermentation and low temperature without roasting, by means of unique methods to maintain its natural purity and quality.
