Makers' Balm (Hand Balm)
Making something from raw materials is a skill that is appreciated around the world. There is no culture that doesn't find pleasure in creating a piece of pottery, building a chair, creating a simple object.
At the end of a long process, when the block of wood is a spoon, when the lump of earth is a vase, the tools you use get wiped down, well oiled and replaced where they belong.
Underlying all of this simple pleasure, is the more practical truth: your hands are the greatest tools you will ever own.
Just like all of the maker's tools, your hands need care. The Makers' Balm from Old Faithful is the refresh they need.
Originally made for ceramicists whose hands dry out while working, the Balm contains Shea Butter which moisturises and protects while the Calendula acts as anti-inflammatory for dry, chapped skin.
But when you open the tin, it's the deep scent of Vetiver & Patchouli which takes you right back to what you love about working with your hands and the woody scent of Elemi which tops it off.
Whether you're working at the lathe or at the desk, Maker's Balm from Old Faithful is what your hands need. Take care of your tools.
